Glacios 2 Cryo‑TEM
Capabilities
- 200 kV cryogenic transmission electron microscope optimized for high-resolution imaging of biological macromolecules.
- High throughput cryo‑TEM image acquisition: fringe‑free imaging (FFI).
- Automated cryo‑EM software maximizes ease of use and efficiency: EPU and Leginon.
- Cryo‑EM sample screening and workflow connectivity.
- Cryo‑ET and MicroED.
Applications
- Determining 3D atomic structures of proteins, complexes, and assemblies (100 kDa – megadalton scale); membrane proteins in nanodiscs or detergents; and for structure‑based drug discovery.
- Cryo‑electron tomography for cells or tissues in near‑native state when combined with cryo‑FIB.
- Fringe‑free imaging enables fast cryo‑grids screening.
- Supports pharma pipelines for rational drug design.
- MicroED enables structure determination for small crystal of protein.
Access & Training
